US embassy cable - 03THEHAGUE2647

Disclaimer: This site has been first put up 15 years ago. Since then I would probably do a couple things differently, but because I've noticed this site had been linked from news outlets, PhD theses and peer rewieved papers and because I really hate the concept of "digital dark age" I've decided to put it back up. There's no chance it can produce any harm now.

1. (C) On October 16, PolOff delivered reftel demarche on the
revision of the Convention on the Physical Protection of
Nuclear Material (CPPNM) to Pieter van Donkersgoed, Deputy
Head of the MFA's Environmental and Nuclear Safety Division.
Van Donkersgoed said it was clear the United States had a
concrete proposal regarding the revision of the CPPNM. He
asked for more time to study the U.S. proposal and confer
with MFA colleagues; Van Donkersgoed said he would get back
to PolOff at the latest by the end of next week.
