1. (U) This is an action request, see para 4.
2. (C) Dutch Minister of Defense Henk Kamp plans to travel to
Iraq from September 24-25 to visit UK Division Headquarters
in Al Basra and meet with Dutch troops participating in
stabilization operations in Al Muthanna on September 24. The
Minister requests a meeting with Ambassador Bremer in Baghdad
on the morning of September 25.
3. (C) Per ref A, the GONL requests security escort for the
visit of the Minister while in Baghdad. We understand per
ref B that the Dutch Embassy in Washington is making this
request via diplomatic note to the Department of State.
4. (C) Action request: Mission seeks Department assistance
in securing an appointment for Minister Kamp on September 25
with Amb. Bremer.
