A.A.Detailed Product Description: Expressions of 
interest (EOI) are called from manufacturers with 
experience in mining and processing of Silica Quartz 
to set up processing and manufacturing plants for 
high tech products such as optical fiber, solar 
cells, computer chips and high quality finished 
crystal glass.

B.B.Closing Date: EOIs should be sent to the above 
address on or before 14:30 hrs. September 26, 2003. 
 
The EOI should include comprehensive background 
information about the investor, his experience and 
technical capability in the manufacture of the value 
added products from Silica Quartz and the estimated time 
frame to develop each project. 
 
The silica quartz deposit is located in the South Eastern 
part of Sri Lanka.  It is about 170 km from the main 
commercial center and the Port of Colombo and about 153 
km from the Port of Galle.
