On August 24, Pol/Econoff delivered reftel demarche to Dirham al-Saidi, Americas desk officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Welcoming the demarche, al-Saidi said that he had just returned from a DoD regional seminar in Washington on border security that covered many of the same issues and would be reporting to the Minister.
