Turkish MFA UN Department Head Kaya has provided 
preliminary high-level Turkish attendance list for 58th 
UNGA.  Per ref (A) format: 
 
 
A.  Head of state will not attend. 
 
 
B.  Head of government will not attend. 
 
 
C.  Foreign Minister: Minister of Foreign Affairs of the 
Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul will attend. 
 
 
Gul will arrive New York Kennedy Airport Sunday, Sept. 21, 
depart Saturday, Sept. 27.  Gul and his delegation are 
planning to arrive via THY 001 at 4:30 (1630) PM. 
 
 
Gul plans to attend UNGA General Debate and will speak 
Sept. 26. 
 
 
Gul's spouse, Mrs. Hayrunnisa Gul, will accompany him to 
New York. 
 
 
Gul will not require interpreting in bilats.

currently available regarding attendance of M.P.'s 
spouses.  While M.P.s may need interpreters, MFA thinks the 
Turkish mission can provide interpreting services for them.
