2.  IN AN INTERVIEW FOR VECERNJI LIST (DECEMBER 
20, 1992) FORMER FSO GEORGE KENNEY SAID THAT THE 
ONLY WAY FOR CROATIA TO GET BACK THE PARTS OF THE 
COUNTRY OCCUPIED BY SERBS IS THROUGH FORCE. 
KENNEY SAID HE DID NOT THINK THE SERBS WOULD 
CONSENT TO BE REINCORPORATED INTO CROATIA OF THEIR 
OWN ACCORD.  HE WENT ON TO SAY THAT THE LONGER THE 
SERBS CONTROL THIS TERRITORY THE MORE LIKELY THAT 
THE SITUATION WILL BECOME PERMANENT.

B-H CHILDREN LEAVE FOR LIBYA AS MESIC VISITS

3.  ON DECEMBER 19, 1,115 CHILDREN FROM THE B-H 
TOWNS OF KAKANJ, ZENICA, AND VARES LEFT FROM SPLIT 
TO LIBYA.  THE CHILDREN, THIRD TO EIGHTH GRADERS 
REPORTEDLY WENT WITH THEIR TEACHERS AND WILL 
CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION IN TRIPOLI.  THE 
CHILDREN, WHO WENT WITH THEIR PARENTS' CONSENT, 
ARE TO BE ACCOMMODATED IN A TOURIST COMPLEX IN 
TRIPOLI.  A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE LIBYAN EMBASSY 
IN SARAJEVO, AMER MUSARATI, SAID THAT ANOTHER                 . 
GROUP OF CHILDREN WILL DEPART FOR LIBYA IN THE 
NEAR FUTURE.

THREE-MAN PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION LED BY SABOR 
PRESIDENT STIPE MESIC.  GHADAFFI REPORTEDLY

5.  AT A MEETING OF HUMANITARIAN AID ORGANIZATIONS 
HELD AT THE ZAGREB MOSQUE, A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE 
ZENICA CENTER FOR THE INVESTIGATION OF WAR CRIMES 
SAID THAT THE CENTER HAD INTERVIEWED MORE THAN 
350,000 WITNESSES OF RAPE AND VIOLENCE.  ACCORDING 
TO THE CENTER REPRESENTATION, 30,000 WOMEN HAVE 
BEEN RAPED IN B-H.  BUT THAT FIGURE DOES NOT TAKE 
INTO ACCOUNT LARGE PARTS OF THE COUNTRY FROM WHICH 
NO INFORMATION IS AVAILABLE.  A REPRESENTATIVE OF

THE "INDEPENDENT WOMENS GROUP" FROM ZAGREB, 
NIHADA KADIC, SAID THAT THERE ARE 50,000 WOMEN IN 
45 CAMPS IN B-H.  THE WHO HAS BEEN ASKED TO 
COORDINATE THE ASSISTANCE OF THOSE COUNTRIES, SUCH 
AS GERMANY, WHICH ARE READY TO OPEN CENTERS TO 
HELP THE VICTIMS. 
 
6.  MEANWHILE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE EC 
RESOLUTION IN EDINBURGH, A SIX MEMBER DELEGATION 
FOR THE INVESTIGATION OF CRIMES AGAINST WOMEN, LED 
BY DAME ANNE WUBERTON, ARRIVED IN ZAGREB ON 
DECEMBER 20.

450 PRISONERS RELEASED FROM MANJACA; 51 FROM BILECA

7.  THE MANJACA PRISON CAMP IN B-H WAS CLOSED AS 
THE LAST GROUP OF 450 PRISONERS, ALL MEN AGED 19 
TO 40, ARRIVED IN THE KARLOVAC TRANSIT CENTER ON 
DECEMBER 18.  51 PRISONERS WERE ALSO RELEASED FROM 
THE SERBIAN CAMP IN BILECA.  FORTY-ONE OF THE 
PRISONERS AND 52 MEMBERS OF THEIR FAMILIES WERE 
HANDED OVER TO UNHCR REPRESENTATIVES IN 
MONTENEGRO.  TEN PRISONERS DECIDED TO REMAIN IN 
BILECA OR LEAVE BY OTHER MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION.
